Downwell Demolition are proud to be recognised and appropriately awarded "Best supply chain award for Excellence" by Mansell.

Mansell Construction placed their first order with us in October 2006 and have continued to work on several projects with them ever since, and established a preferred supplier status.

In March 2008 we were honored with Supply Chain Award for Excellence, which to our knowledge is the first award to a Demolition contractor. We pride ourselves on the level of service & safety we provide to all our clients and constantly Endeavour to improve on our performance.

Platinum Award from CSCS.


Downwell Demolition have recently received an Platinum Award from CSCS for having more than 90% of its workforce fully trained and compliant with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.








Outstanding Employer Contribution.


We have also received an Outstanding Employer Contribution certifcate from EBP Kent for Exceptional Support in assisting the young people of kent through Work Experience in the Academic year 2010-2011.








Site Safety Award from Willmott Dixon.


Willmott Dixon Housing Site safety Award has awarded to our operative Ross Evans. This award is nominated by the Site Manager to enhance Safety, Health & Welfare awareness on site.








Recycling Contract of the Year – Downwell Demolition.


The dismantling and demolition of the Warner Brothers' Leavesden film studios by Downwell Demolition demonstrated to the judges the company's commitment to recycling when undertaking large-scale, time critical contracts.

Operations included the on-site recycling of concrete and rubble with20,000m3 of concrete and rubble seperated from demolition waste arisings, crushed and screened in order to produce 6F1 and 6F2 specification secondary aggregate for re-use on site. Recycling material in-situ minimised the number of lorry movements to and from site, diverted waste from landfill and reduced the quantity of virgin aggregate required for subseqent development. Other material including wood, plastic and metal was seperated on site before being removed for recycling. Overall recycling rates exceeded 97%.

Judging panel remarks included, “The team effort displayed by Downwell Demolition's management, operatives and labourers culminated in a truly impressive recycling rate”.
