Downwell Demolition aims to refine and/or develop new demolition techniques which would serve to minimize hazards to the environment in areas where demolition activities are scheduled or are on-going.
Our objectives are to survey present demolition techniques and provide a vehicle for assuring that the most modern demolition techniques and procedures are researched so that we make use of them in developing safer and greener future demolition contracts.
Downwell and the Environment
Our company is committed through its work practices, to contributing to a safer and greener environment.
Work Environment. Strict control measures of dust, noise & vibration will be implemented. All sites are monitored and measures recorded throughout the working day.
Trees & Hedges. No trees or hedges will be cut down, burnt or removed without written permission from the Environment Agency, advice and guidance on tree protection will be put in place.
Waterways & Streams. No waterways, streams or ponds will be excavated, blocked or back-filled without written authority from the Environment Agency.
Contaminated Waste. All waste materials will be disposed off to a licensed landfill site, by a licensed carrier. All documentation will be provided on request.
Recycling. Careful segregation of materials such as glass, metal fibres, tyres, plastics etc will be recycled or reused where ever possible.
Security. Measures will be taken to prevent fly-tipping by others.

Antique bricks are reclaimed where possible for Re-use for a greener environment.
